March 1 I'm in the process of reworking the site and since we posted a video on You Tube I'm going to put a link at the top of this page so that you can find it without a lot of fuss. Hopefully it will predicate our getting some jobs so when don't turn into turnips

Wow! Last night at the Chouse we just just about got busted by the fire marshall as we were on fire. Buffalo was our special guest and I can't say enough about how fabulous a guitarist he is. Go see him play whenever you get the chance. Tammy Joseph made her first appearance as a new member of the Resonators and was well received. She adds beauty to a bunch of old geezers not mention that she has a really beautiful voice, writes great songs and plays guitar. See you soon..... Doug

October 21 I'm back with some more info about the up coming Beer30 gig on the 22nd ( Schedule ). Tupper Patnode will be playing guitar and John McGuiness will be playing bass ( we reheased with John last night and he's nothing short of excellant). Phil Reimer will also be playing and Tammy Joseph will be appearing as a guest vocalist. So if you can't find something that pleases your auditory nerves with this lineup, well then you'd better go have your ears checked. I'm looking forward to a really fun evening. Beer30 is is a cozy little bar and the owners are really cool. Have I convinced you to come yet?........OK then....... we're hiding $100 bills all over the club (sort of like Trick or Treat )..........

October 15: Here's a quick heads up on the Beer30 gig: We're trying to get Tupper Patnode to come up from Dallas to do a Mudcats reunion and John McGuiness is tenetively going to play bass. It should be a hoot to hear both of those guys again. I'll keep the details posted as I get them. See you there!

October 13 :Hi Everybody, The Dog Day Afternoon event was a lot of fun and Gregg Standridge came and played with us and must be nursing burns on his fingers as he was on fire. He's finished his new album and it should be available soon. Check his new website out at GreggStandridge.com. I've been busy and have updated the Resonators website with a few new pages and links. I uploaded several live cuts from our gig at the Well from earlisr this year which you can check out on the new Music page. We're also booked to play at Beer30 again on the 22nd of October (Saturday). Check the Schedule page for more details. Later....

September20:Howdy....just a few things: 1- the " Music For The Animals" benefit is at Lions Park in Norman, not "Lyons" and 2- it's Steve Swim and Narghilis who will be appearing as well as Daddy Love and Mallory Palmer. I was a decent speller once upon a time, but I seem to have stumbled. I'd also like to mention that Phil Reimer and Gregg Standridge will be playing with us on the 20th at the Blue Hawk affair. I think there will be a little something for everyone so be there or be square.....

August 8 :Summer blazes on......Beer30 was a gas as our buddy John McGuiness sat in on bass for a set and became a Resonator on his birthday no less! Also Steve Rhodes played some guitar on the last set and was 1st rate. More news: Daddy Love is scheduled to appear at the
" Music For The Animals" benefit as well as Steve Swim & Narghilis. Details about Dog Day benefit coming soon......

August 2 : Hi folks...Just got off the phone with my friend, Debbie Grissom, who's one of the driving forces behind Blue Hawk's " Music For The Animals" benefit. The venue has been confirmed to be at Lions Park in Norman from 6pm-11pm on Saturday August 20. I urge you to come out and support these people as they work hard to help relieve the flood of abandoned animals in this berg. Besides we're going to rock the place. Gregg Standridge will be playing with us and he's just a monster on guitar. I'm gone...

July 31:Greetings...... I've got a few items to share here.....The 3 Hillbillies Tavern has opened but under a new name....Beer30. You can draw your own conclusions......Actually Dennis, Phil & I went to see Keith Brewer & his sister, Charlene, there last night and it was a lot of fun. Boy can those two sing. We'll be resonating there next Saturday and I don't know about you all, but I'm READY! It also looks like we'll be playing at Blue Hawk's " Music For The Animals" benefit at Lions Park (location not confirmed) in Norman on August 20. We'll keep you posted as to where it will end up: Schedule. My bacon's burning so I've gotta run.....Doug

July 25: Here's an update on the gig at 3 Hillbillies Tavern : Phil Reimer called me today and said the owner has moved the date back to Aug. 6 but that it's now a firm booking. Also George will be in Cleveland, OH on that date so Phil will cover him for that date. 'Should be fun as Phil's a great player. We are also talking to Mary Long, (who along with Tom Lee owns the Chouse in Norman) about playing for the Dog Day Afternoon event in September. This annual event is a benefit for Second Chance animal rescue organization. Should be a gas and I'll keep you posted about the details as I get them. I'm gone for now.........

July 11: Hi Everybody.....'Just confirmed we'll be playing at the 3 Hillbillies Tavern in OKC on July 30. Check out the directions and details on the Schedule page. Phil booked this one and said this was a fun place to play so I'm looking forward to meeting Sandy, the owner, and maybe working this into a regular once a month gig.

July 7: It's almost the all-star break and summer's in full swing. We played at the Farm reunion in Norman and had a really warm reception. Buffalo was fabulous on slide and Phil played some tasty stuff, too. Gerry Riggs sat in on drums for a couple of songs and earned his Resonators wings. All things considered, it was a fine time had by all and I personally had an absolute blast. Thanks, Mitch and Nicki. We have some up coming gigs and I'll post them on the Schedule as soon as I have all the details.....Doug

June 30: Greetings... yesterday we were asked to play at the great hippie reunion in Norman at the Farm on Saturday July 2. Being an old hippie myself, I'll fit right in. You can crash this party if you qualify......go to the schedule page for a map to get there. The band will play between 7-11pm. Terry (Buffalo) Ware is going to play with us and that should be a gas. Peace.....

June 10
: Well true to my word we booked the Well for the 17th and Phil Reimer is our scheduled guest artist. Daddy Love and John Madison
are also on the bill so there's bound to be some really interesting material. We finally got our PA amp fixed in Dallas so we're for sure giong to be playing more this summer. CIAO

May 21:Just a couple of notes as we're playing outside today at 3 pm on Campus Corner in Norman. We're also tenatively booked to play again at the Well in Norman on the 17th of June and that should be fun as that's a nice place to play. I hope to see a bunch of our friends this afternoon as the weather looks like it will be nice. See you there!

May 10: This weekend (May 6/7) saw the performance of the multimedia art exhibit 12 Story House in OKC by Steve Crossett and featured a slew of veteran musicians whose music has blessed this berg for nearly 40 years. Check out the website for more info: 12 Story House .

May 2: We played at the Well in Norman on the 29th of April and the band was in fine form. Phil Reimer was our special guest and Richard "Daddy" Love also sat in on a couple of songs. John Madison also played on the bill and was terrific. Daddy played his set and was his usual entertaining self. George played violin on a couple of John and Richard's songs and his classical training was evident. We hope to have some more up coming gigs to announce so keep an eye on the Schedule page.
